We have created both part day and full day programs that offer a balance of small group, large group, and free choice time.
We use a project approach where children will have the opportunity to explore topics that are of interest and relevance to them in an interactive way. Academics and school readiness skills will be integrated into their daily activities with a focus on social emotional awareness and learning. Our classrooms are designed so that children have the ability to make choices, develop strong social skills, and practice important self-help skills. We use the Creative Curriculum which is aligned with the State of Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards. We are licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS).
Part Day Preschool
Our part day preschool begins at 9:00am and ends at 12:30pm. Children will enjoy project based learning through small group activities, large group activities, gross motor play, and free choice time where they explore the daily centers at their own pace. Snack and lunch are provided by families.

Full Day Preschool
Our full-day preschool offers two separate choices. Both programs open at 8:00 am but offer different ending times. Children will begin their day in our “Early Bird” classroom and transition to their morning classroom at 9:00 am, blending in with our part-day children. By 9:15 am, they will begin their morning scheduled activities, including circle time. Children will enjoy project-based learning through small group activities, extensive group activities, gross motor play, and free choice time, during which they can explore the daily centers at their own pace. Families provide morning snacks and lunch. At 12:30 pm, children may be taken to either the nap room or stay and play room. If they nap, they will be given a cot where they may sleep until 2:20 pm. Children who do not nap will still have a quiet time and then move on to afternoon activities. Full Day Program A families can sign up for our Extended Wrap Care until 4:30 pm when space permits.

Drop-In Stay and Play & Extended Wrap Care
Afternoons at BUMP are balanced with rest time and active time. We have a dedicated nap room for children whose parents want their child to nap from 12:30–2:20 pm. Our Stay & Play room is open from 12:30–2:30 pm and will feature a circle and quiet mat time. After mat time, children will have gross motor, extensive group activities, and free choice. Part-day enrolled children may sign up for open spots on the Stay & Play list. Stay & Play ends at 2:30 pm.
Full-day program A families can sign up for our Extended Wrap Care, which runs from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Full-day program B families are automatically enrolled up until 5:00 pm. During EWC, children will have an afternoon snack provided by BUMP, additional gross motor time, and extensive group activities. As it is much more challenging for staff to staff late afternoons, EWC is only available for drop-in as space permits.
While we do offer extended hours to assist with your childcare needs, we strongly recommend a backup childcare plan.
