BUMP is a 9-month preschool program for children ages 2.5 (36 months) to six. Serving Bexley and Columbus families since 1952, BUMP is just minutes from downtown, Capital, ODU, OSU, Nationwide Children’s and the airport.

At BUMP we believe every child and class is unique and learns best at their own pace through play and hands-on experiences. Teachers build lessons guided by the children’s current interests, while thoughtfully incorporating Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards. 

BUMP Preschool is a nonreligious, nonprofit preschool that has been a long-standing ministry of Bexley United Methodist Church. This partnership allows us to provide a nurturing, meaningful experience for both children and their families, rooted in care, connection, and community.

Potty Training Welcome: Children in our youngest classroom (ages 2.5–3) do not need to be fully potty trained. We welcome children who are working on potty training and partner with families to support each child along the way.

During the school year, we offer full-time program hours to support working families, along with a fun and engaging summer camp. All of our programs reflect the same play-based, child-centered philosophy that makes BUMP a special place to learn and grow.
